The Arts Coalition (Koalisi Seni) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a better art ecosystem in Indonesia through advocacy and artistic research. We strive to promote the enactment of Law No. 5 of 2017 on Cultural Advancement, advocate for the Draft Music Law in 2019, and participate in the development of the Indonesian Cultural Strategy. Koalisi Seni has also been actively advocating for a permanent art fund, and in early 2022, the Government launched the Cultural Endowment Fund.

Various research initiatives have been conducted by Koalisi Seni. Since 2022, we have been conducting research on copyright in music, developing a monitoring system for artistic freedom, and publishing research papers such as "Caring for Art with Your Heart" and "Portrait of the Music Ecosystem in Indonesia: A Case Study with a Cultural Ecology Approach in Bogor and Makassar" (2021).
